Society
Stable, strong communities are beneficial to both Aroundtown’s business ambition and its tenants’ future prospects. Fostering good relationships within our portfolio communities translates to long-term reductions in vacancy rates and better acceptance of building developments. We thus pursue a strategy of enhancing economic and societal value in the communities of which we are a part.
Aroundtown orients its community involvement around four strategic pillars: construction, development, and refurbishment projects; active involvement of local authorities and media; social engagement with tenants; and proactive stakeholder dialogue. During the acquisition stage, economic and community factors are taken into consideration as part of due diligence so that we can tailor our investment in repositioning toward helping meet the respective community’s needs. As our portfolio develops we actively cultivate relationships with local stakeholders, tenants, and our communities.
More in-depth information on our commitment to society can be found in our Consolidated Annual Report 2023 and in the Sustainability In-Focus.
